Pantone’s 2023 Colour of the year – Viva Magenta

Share

With a name like that, you know straight off that this is a colour to be celebrated! Pantone’s 2023 Colour of the year, is just stunning and works so well with so many of our roses. Taken from the official Pantone website, because, well we couldn’t write it better ourselves. “Viva Magenta is brave and fearless, and a pulsating colour whose exuberance promotes a joyous and optimistic celebration, writing a new narrative. This year’s Colour of the Year is powerful and empowering.”

Which Parfum Flower Company roses match this Pantone?

Well, this was an impossible task, however, we ended up choosing four varieties we felt were most suited to Pantone’s 2023 Colour of the year.

Princess Kishi, whose colour could be described as a deep cherry with magenta undertones. When in bloom fully, this rose reveals a chartreuse green centre that creates a very striking contrast to her bold colour.

Princess Kishi (meaning Long and Happy Life) needs a few days in water before she begins to bloom, and has a vase life of more than 12 days.

Julietta Cerisa is part of our extensive spray rose collection, a beautiful large-headed spray rose filled with many beautiful little cerise petals.

When unpacking and vasing Julietta she may appear disappointing, with small ball buds. But after a few days of conditioning, she blooms beautifully.

Yves Piaget is known as the Diva of the Yves Piaget Collection from Meilland. This rose is truly once seen, never forgotten. A gloriously strong fragrant rose with a hint of sunny citrus and an average of 80 layers of petals.

Yves Piaget’s ruffled petals are a mix of magenta to very light shades of pink and are, just like an enormous scoop of strawberry ice cream, incredibly difficult to resist.

Kate is part of the stunning David Austin Wedding Rose collection. A passionate queen with a powerful presence. She rules intensely, deeply and dramatically. The kind of attention-grabbing bloom no one will forget.

A seductive cup bursts to life with wavy petals in regal magenta tones that take on a cool indigo hue as they evolve.

What roses compliment Viva Magenta?

For this decision, we needed help from the outside. We got out our little floral black book, found the perfect match and promptly enlisted the help of an industry expert. Introducing floral designer and entrepreneur Sarah from Leafy Couture.

Sarah suggested using pale pinks against the boldness of the tones of Viva Magenta. Swiftly, she had worked her floral magic and created this stunning flat lay. Along with this, the team have created some beautiful content for our socials.

The End!

We’ll be back soon!
