High end Master Class during Trade Fair week

We are proud to announce we were able to book top floral designer Ercole Moroni for a Master Class on Wednesday November 7th in the Fragrant Garden in Aalsmeer!

Ercole Moroni will talk about, what he calls, ’the Ferrari of roses’. And how to approach, see and use them. He will also create the new trade mark image bouquet for Parfum Flower Company and tell you why it’s important to make the right choices.

Besides Ercole Moroni we are just as happy to welcome Jo Knight, florist at David Austin Roses in Shropsire. (Where the famous rose gardens are located, and the selection of new varieties takes place).
Together with Ercole Moroni, Jo Knight will talk about David Austin, his cut roses, the specifics of some varieties, and how she designs the typical David Austin arrangements.

Alongside Ercole Moroni we are delighted to welcome Jo Knight, florist at David Austin Roses in Shropshire, which is the home to the English Roses and one of the largest rose breeding programs in the world, creating new varieties of roses for both the garden and for floristry.  Together with Ercole Moroni, Jo Knight will talk about David Austin, his premium cut rose collection designed for premium weddings and events , the individual variety characteristics, and the particular design styles synonymous with David Austin arrangements.

An ode to the roses – that was what the Master Class will be all about. Ercole Moroni explains why he perceives the scented garden roses as ‘The Ferrari of roses’. He will also demonstrate how to make floral design for Photography. He will create the new bouquet for Parfum Flower Company picture trademark. The Master Class will be held at the Fragrant Garden in Aalsmeer, close to the flower auction.

 

 

In the same week two International trade fairs are held; the Flora Holland Trade Fair in Aalsmeer, and the International Trade Fair in Vijfhuizen, both within 30 minutes from the Fragrant Garden.

Master Class Ercole Moroni – November 7th  from 10:00-15:00

5 hours of inspiration and fun! Due to the intimate nature of the event, only 30 seats are available, commitment for places is done in order of registration!

Program:

10.15 to 11.30 (approx.) – Presentation by Jo Knight, florist at David Austin Roses. This will include:

• David Austin Roses – the story and history behind the brand
• The David Austin Rose Breeding Program, trials and new varieties
• Jo will share her personal experience, spanning more than a decade
• David Austin Roses in focus – the personalities and unique characteristics of each variety
• why are they different from other roses

11.30 to 12 noon – Jo and Ercole will each make a David Austin arrangement and will talk about the design styles, the complementary flowers and foliage that make the perfect companions to a David Austin rose and the reasons why. Jo will also talk about the David Austin design style and the importance of being authentic and true to the brand.

12:00 to 12:45 – Lunch

12:45 to 15:00 – Ercole Moroni will talk about flowers, roses and of course the ‘Ferrari’ of roses; scented garden roses. He will explain how to make an arrangement with those roses, specifically for photography and will create a new design for the new brand image of Parfum Flower Company.
